It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Leflore County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 44-8 victory over the Vardaman Rams. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six contests in a row.

Leflore County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Demarius Dunham out in front who rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 37 receiving yards.

Leflore County's run defense was locked in: Vardaman could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The Tigers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.8.

Leflore County's record now sits at 8-3. As for Vardaman, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, Leflore County will face off against Byers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Dunham and Kesean Lafrance. Vardaman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
