Bucklin came tearing into Friday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 53-45 win over the Hodgeman County Longhorns. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-32 last Thursday.

Bucklin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emmy Kirk led the charge by going 7-for-13 on her way to 17 points and five rebounds. The game was Kirk's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Karlee Evans, who posted 15 points and eight boards.

Bucklin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aidan Lonnberg, who went 5-for-6 en route to 10 points. Mallorie Ruff was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bucklin pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hodgeman County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-5 record this season.

Bucklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-38 win against Ingalls on the 8th. As for Hodgeman County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-32 victory against Kiowa County on the 11th.
