Genoa Christian Academy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Northside Christian just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 41-39. The game marked Genoa Christian Academy's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Genoa Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jackson Kirura, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds, and Evan Allgood, who went 5 of 8 en route to 15 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Kirura has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Laife Pearl, who posted three points.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Liberty Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 48-43 W over Delaware Christian.

Liberty Christian Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Genoa Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
