Exeter extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Exeter Tigers vs. School of the Ozarks Patriots

The Exeter Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-24 loss at the hands of School of the Ozarks. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Exeter has scored all season.

Among those leading the charge was Josiah Martin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Timba Saffle, who scored 14 points.

Exeter bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for School of the Ozarks, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Exeter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southern Missouri RUSH at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Southern Missouri RUSH presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Exeter in Missouri (Southern Missouri RUSH is ranked 148th, while Exeter is ranked 482nd). As for School of the Ozarks, they will be playing at home against Galena on Friday.
