Softball Recap: Pacifica Comes Up Short

Pacifica came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Buena Bulldogs, falling 13-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tritons of the 14-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Nevaeh Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Pacifica's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Buena, their victory bumped their record up to 7-15.

While Pacifica had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
