Basketball Recap: Eagle Academy Extends Winning Streak to Six

Eagle Academy came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 69-58 victory over the Brandeis Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 87-54 back in December of 2024.

Eagle Academy pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Brandeis, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Eagle Academy and Brandeis should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Eagle Academy (ranked sixth) will meet Wings Academy (ranked 152nd) at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Brandeis (ranked 238th) will meet Stevenson (ranked 550th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
