Baseball Recap: North Triumphs

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times North and Chardon have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Rangers came out on top against the Hilltoppers by a score of 6-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-5 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Braylon Rolf, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for North: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 7-11 otherwise.

North's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Chardon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North will host Kenston at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bombers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
