Basketball Recap: Austin Androh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Manor over LBJ Austin

After flying high against Lehman last Tuesday, Manor came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell 67-58 to the LBJ Austin Jaguars on Tuesday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Manor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Austin Androh, who posted eight points along with ten boards and three blocks. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jay Forbes, who scored six points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead LBJ Austin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dadrian Johnson Jr, who earned 19 points and three steals. The game was Johnson Jr's third in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Savage, who put up eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.

Manor's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-4. As for LBJ Austin, their record is now 3-1.

Manor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-48 loss against Southwest on the 4th. As for LBJ Austin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-49 defeat against Cedar Ridge on the 4th.
