Ball hasn't had much luck against Angleton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ball Tornadoes will face off against the Angleton Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Ball came up short against Santa Fe and fell 7-3.

Ball saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Klarisa Martinez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits Martinez has posted since back in March of 2024. Kynidee Pope also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Angleton came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Rylee Church was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Angleton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Almeta Crawford struck out eight times.
