Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran suffered their biggest defeat since February 27th on Thursday. They came up short against the Discovery Canyon Thunder, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in February.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-16.

Paul Trilling paced Lutheran's offense, picking up eight kills. Trilling got some help from Eli Traylor and his 18 assists.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Discovery Canyon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lutheran will take on rival Doherty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Discovery Canyon is set to face off against their familiar foe Mesa Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
