Soccer Game Preview: Monarch vs. Boyd Anderson

The Monarch Knights will take on the Boyd Anderson Cobras in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monarch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Monarch's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Miramar. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Their offense was hitting Miramar from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Kearstin Iadarola led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Boyd Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting McArthur an easy 3-0 victory.

Monarch is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. As for Boyd Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
