Baseball Recap: Warren Woods-Tower's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Warren Woods-Tower was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lamphere Rams 4-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Shane Duvall, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Akins, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Warren Woods-Tower's victory bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Lamphere, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

Looking ahead, Warren Woods-Tower will challenge Franklin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lamphere, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cousino at 5:00 p.m.
