Basketball Recap: El Primero Lobos vs. More Knights

The El Primero Lobos struggled with assists on Monday (the More Knights had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. El Primero was outmatched by the Knights at home and fell 69-37. El Primero was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-17.

When it comes to explaining why El Primero lost, one person who can't be blamed is RICARDO GARCIA. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. GARCIA is crushing the block category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of JOSH CHAVEZ, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

More's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tim Selway led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dominic Corr, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

El Primero has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for More, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

El Primero won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Mountain View Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for More, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Mid-Peninsula is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
