Volleyball Recap: Gideon Wins Going Away Against Delta

Gideon won the last time they faced Delta and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gideon was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-9, 25-13.

Karli Ashabranner paced Gideon's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ashabranner got some help from Aubree Sharp and her 18 assists. Sharp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

Gideon's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Delta, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Gideon and Delta will both be playing North Pemiscot the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Chargers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
