Softball Recap: Nansemond River Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nansemond River can now relate to. They lost 10-0 to the Granby Comets on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Nansemond River saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Hare, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Nansemond River has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Granby, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

Nansemond River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granby, they have already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Menchville on the 3rd.
