The Edison Eagles will take on the Alexandria City Titans at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Edison was able to grind out a solid win over South County, taking the game 10-7.

Zoey Meyer made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Jazmyn Roberson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Marley Jackson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Edison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South County only posted a batting average of .294.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Alexandria City was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Forest Park, falling 11-2.
Alli Goetz was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Zaria Edwards also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Edison pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Alexandria City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Edison took their victory against Alexandria City when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 17-7 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
