Football Game Preview: Classical Prep Lions vs. Seven Rivers Christian Warriors

The Classical Prep Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Classical Prep's defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so Seven Rivers Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Classical Prep's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Hernando offense got past them. The Lions were dealt a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Leopards on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Leopards are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Seven Rivers Christian's offense. They took a 14-0 bruising from Nature Coast Tech on Tuesday. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Classical Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Seven Rivers Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Classical Prep took a serious blow against Seven Rivers Christian when the teams last played back in March, falling 36-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
