Clinton waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals. That's more bragging rights for the Dragons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clinton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josie Moody led the charge by getting six kills, four digs, and two aces. Moody has been hot recently, having posted six or more kills the last four times she's played.

Despite the defeat, Eagleton College & Career Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaylee Loud had 11 digs and one assist. Ellie Mimbs also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Knoxville A on the 30th. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cumberland County on the 30th.
