Softball Recap: Peninsula Comes Up Short

Peninsula was the 9-7 winner over Brea Olinda when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Peninsula took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brea Olinda on Saturday.

Frances Toman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and one double. Eren Bossard also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Peninsula has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. The win (which was Brea Olinda's third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Coming up, Peninsula will take on King/Drew at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Peninsula is facing King/Drew at the right time seeing as King/Drew is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Brea Olinda, they will face off against Troy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
