Recap: Palmer Tigers vs. Burwell Longhorns
The Palmer Tigers suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Burwell on the road and fell 56-29. Palmer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.
Palmer lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Payton Coplen, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Myers, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Palmer are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.7 points per game. As for Burwell, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
Palmer on the road again on Friday and play against Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Riverside will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Burwell will take on Arcadia/Loup City at TBD on Friday.
