Baseball Game Preview: Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals vs. George-Little Rock Mustangs

Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union is a perfect 9-0 against George-Little Rock since June of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Royals will host the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union has three straight victories, George-Little Rock has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Friday. Considering the Royals have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, George-Little Rock came up short against Central Lyon on Saturday, falling 10-1.

Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for George-Little Rock, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
