Aubrey Paquette made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Avery Meyette was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with ten stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Avah Grimshaw was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with eight stolen bases and four runs.
Putnam always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .711. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Killingly hadn't done well against Woodstock Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Redmen blew past the Centaurs 20-2. The Redmen's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The victory made it two in a row for Killingly and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Putnam, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
