Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Screven County). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 77-11 win over the Claxton Tigers. The Gamecocks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Screven County found their leader in sophomore Jaliah Roberts, who went 10-for-16 to rack up 21 points and five boards. The game was Roberts' fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Achanti Middleton, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 12 points and three steals.

Screven County was working as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Screven County, bringing their record for this year to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.7 points over those games. As for Claxton, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Coincidentally, Screven County and Claxton will both be playing McIntosh County Academy the next time they take the court. Claxton will head out to face McIntosh County Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Screven County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
