Softball Game Preview: Anamosa Raiders vs. Cascade Cougars

The Anamosa Raiders will face off against the Cascade Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Cascade took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Anamosa, who comes in off a win.

Anamosa was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Iowa City West, sneaking past 6-4.

Meanwhile, Cascade unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Wilton by a score of 6-5.

Anamosa has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
