Softball Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

After flying high against ITW David Speer Academy on Friday, Taft came back down to earth. The Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stevenson Patriots on Saturday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Mia Perez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Stevenson, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Taft has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 defeat against Lane Tech on the 3rd. As for Stevenson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against ITW David Speer Academy on the 3rd.
