Basketball Recap: Clairton Finds Home Court Redemption Against Frazier

There's no place like home for Clairton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Frazier Commodores by a score of 43-36 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 78-45 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Frazier had strong showings from Kolby Stewart, who posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals, and Dailan McManus, who had 15 points and three steals. McManus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Brant Alekson was another key player, putting up no points along with 14 boards, four steals, and four blocks.

Clairton's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Frazier, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clairton will host California at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clairton is facing California at the right time seeing as California is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Frazier, they will take on Jeannette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
