Hayden is 9-1 against Southeastern since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hayden Wildcats will head out to challenge the Southeastern Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hayden duked it out with Cleveland on Thursday. Hayden's pitchers stepped up to hand Cleveland a 10-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wildcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southeastern). They were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over Locust Fork on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

The victory snapped Hayden's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. As for Southeastern, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Hayden was able to grind out a solid victory over Southeastern in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hayden since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
