Volleyball Recap: Clovis West Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Clovis West had won five straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 20-5 to make it six. They put the hurt on the Clovis East Timberwolves with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Layla Soares paced Clovis West's offense, picking up 12 kills. Soares got some help from Eve Dixon and her 33 assists.

As for Clovis East, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9. Considering the last time they couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Despite the loss, Clovis East still got an impressive performance from Anna Cheatham, who had seven digs and two aces.

Clovis West has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Buchanan on the 30th. As for Clovis East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Santa Barbara on the 26th.
