Recap: Edison Red Raiders vs. Florida Christian Patriots
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Edison Red Raiders, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Patriots on Monday, falling 67-38. Edison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-12.
Florida Christian was led to victory by Zoe Campos and Natalia Stocker. Campos scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals, while Stocker scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Campos scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Perez, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Edison are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8. As for Florida Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.
Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Florida Christian, they will square off against Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Florida Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Monday.
