Carter Jaeger Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is Sterling's Carter Jaeger, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Jaeger made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. We marked that as the best he's had all season, even better than his effort last Friday.
The win was the fourth in a row for Sterling, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Jaeger and Sterling will face off against Arvada at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Weld Central Gets a Boost from Rossi in 61-14 Win
Marcello Rossi continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 126 rushing yards. He rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Arvada's probably not too fond of Rossi given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Rossi saw the Bulldogs), he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 66 receiving yards.

Jacob Arzberger Turns in Season-Best Performance
Jacob Arzberger produced his most outstanding game to date while leading The Academy to the win on Saturday. Arzberger rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.
Arzberger's next game is against Weld Central on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance. The contest will pit Arzberger up against the Rebels' star rusher Marcello Rossi. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Jace Cornelius Makes It Two for Weld Central
Another Weld Central player making an appearance on this list is Jace Cornelius. He threw for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, and also rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.
For the season, Cornelius has thrown those 3 touchdowns while averaging 56.4 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to five.
