Volleyball Game Preview: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Falls Lake Firebirds

The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Falls Lake Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Durham School of the Arts is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Durham School of the Arts saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Triangle Math & Science.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-13.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Falls Lake's good fortune finally ran out last Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Enloe.

Falls Lake might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Enloe: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.

Durham School of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Falls Lake, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Durham School of the Arts skirted past Falls Lake 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Firebirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
