Volleyball Recap: Orestimba Comes Up Short

Orestimba lost against Ripon back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Indians. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Orestimba was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Ripon's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-12, 25-18.

Ripon can attribute much of their success to Kylee Machado, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs gave Machado a new career-high.

Orestimba's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Ripon, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Orestimba wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Hilmar on the 14th. As for Ripon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Redwood on the 11th.
