Baseball Recap: Butte Central Catholic Takes Down Ranked Beaverhead County

Butte Central Catholic faced Beaverhead County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Maroons had just enough and edged out the Beavers 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Maroons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Treigh Hollow was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Colt Hassler was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Beaverhead County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Butte Central Catholic will host Belgrade at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Beaverhead County, they will challenge Butte at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
