Soccer Game Preview: Trinity vs. Wheatmore

The Trinity Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Wheatmore Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Trinity will be strutting in after a win while Wheatmore will be coming in after a loss.

Trinity took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against West Davidson as they made off with a 5-1 victory.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Wheatmore was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Providence Grove. Wheatmore haven't had much luck with Providence Grove recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Wheatmore's goal came courtesy of Suarez Ortiz, who's now up to 15 this season.

Trinity's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for Wheatmore, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Trinity took their win against Wheatmore when the teams last played on October 8th by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
