Basketball Recap: Leslie Comes Up Short

After flying high against Napoleon last Friday, Leslie came back down to earth. The Leslie Blackhawks were beaten by the Grass Lake Warriors 69-27 on Friday. The Blackhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.

Leslie's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Grass Lake, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Leslie and Grass Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Leslie (ranked 71st) will meet Manchester (ranked 548th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leslie is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. Meanwhile, Grass Lake will face off against East Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 209 places (35 vs. 244).
