Basketball Recap: Falfurrias Extends Winning Streak to Three

Falfurrias had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-49 W against the Orange Grove Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-53 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falfurrias to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Benavides, who went 8 for 15 to rack up 22 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Benavides a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Quisto Sanchez, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards.

Falfurrias' record now sits at 20-12. As for Orange Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-17.

As of now, neither Falfurrias nor Orange Grove have any future games scheduled.
