Franklin came into Friday's game looking for another win against El Dorado, but Adrian Rodriguez wouldn't allow it. The El Dorado Aztecs walked away with a 57-49 win over the Franklin Cougars on Friday thanks in part to Rodriguez, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 33.4% in those games and 28.4% outside of them. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

El Dorado will challenge Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
