Recap: Macks Creek Pirates vs. Climax Springs Cougars
In what's become a running theme this season, the Macks Creek Pirates gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 71-37 victory over Climax Springs at home. Given Macks Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Climax Springs is ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for India Willis, who scored 32 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Dorrell, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.
Macks Creek's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Climax Springs, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Macks Creek will head out on the road to face off against Weaubleau at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Weaubleau and Macks Creek are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Climax Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
