Fortuna lost to McKinleyville on April 8th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Huskies won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 6-5.

Evalynn Little was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Hailee Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Fortuna's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for McKinleyville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Fortuna by a score of 15-4 later that day.
