Basketball Game Preview: Holy Cross Knights vs. New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats

The Holy Cross Knights will square off against the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Holy Cross will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating John Paul II, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Holy Cross claimed a resounding 76-21 victory over John Paul II.

Aaron Garcia was his usual excellent self, going 14 for 16 on his way to 31 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The contest was his 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josue Lerma, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Holy Cross smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Braunfels Christian Academy). They breezed by John Paul II to the tune of 84-44 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Holy Cross' win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.
