Basketball Recap: Willow Spring Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake + How To Watch

Willow Spring had won three straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped up to 9-2 to make it four. They walked away with a 78-67 win over the Cary Imps. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Storm's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Imps are ranked 248th).

It was another big night for Ryder Randolph, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Robinson, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 17 points and five steals.

Willow Spring was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Cary's also-impressive total of 16.

As for Cary, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), they still had to take the loss.

Lee Snider and Chase Cleveland certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Snider dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards, while Cleveland went 5-for-12 en route to 20 points. With that strong performance, Snider is now averaging an impressive 8.4 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Brandon Nixon, who posted eight points and three steals.

Willow Spring didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-54 victory against Green Level on the 16th. As for Cary, they have also already played their next contest, a 68-59 loss against Hoggard on the 18th.
