Union City is 7-2 against Wes-Del since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Indians will host the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Union City has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Union City's offense. They lost 13-0 to Winchester Community on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Golden Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Wes-Del came out on top against Randolph Southern on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Warriors blew past the Rebels 12-2. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Carter Flynn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tyler Summers was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Grayson Mealy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Wes-Del always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wes-Del, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Union City skirted past Wes-Del 7-6 when the teams last played back in June of 2024. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
