Basketball Recap: Rich Hill Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Rich Hill took on Warsaw on Thursday. The Rich Hill Tigers had to suffer through a 77-43 loss at the hands of the Warsaw Wildcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Warsaw's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sara Miller, who went 8 of 17 en route to 22 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance gave Miller a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Reimund, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Rich Hill and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Warsaw, their record now sits at 13-9.

Looking ahead, Rich Hill won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Midway at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Warsaw, they are taking a road trip to take on Chilhowee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
