The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Pawnee Heights Tigers on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 47-45. Wheatland-Grinnell was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pawnee Heights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Despite the loss, Wheatland-Grinnell still got an impressive performance from Karoline Schroeder, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. Schroeder scored a full 51.1% of Wheatland-Grinnell's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
