Basketball Game Preview: Timberline Blazers vs. Prairie Falcons

The Timberline Blazers will venture away from home to face off against the Prairie Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Timberline escaped with a win against Beamer by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timberline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenyon Simmons, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Timberline is 13-5 when Simmons posts eight or more boards, but 2-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Damari Evans, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Prairie, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 80-63 win over White River on Tuesday.

Timberline is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Prairie, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Timberline might still be hurting after the 76-52 loss they got from Prairie when the teams last played back in February of 2020. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Timberline was down 46-26.
