Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Takes a Loss

Elk Grove extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 10-10 in the process. They lost 3-0 to the Pleasant Grove Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

As for Pleasant Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victory was familiar territory for they, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Jaxton Sagaral was the offensive standout of the game as he had 18 digs and two assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Elk Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Laguna Creek on the 10th. As for Pleasant Grove, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Sheldon on the 10th.
