Football Game Recap: Dover vs. Hackettstown

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Hackettstown and Dover. Hackettstown put the hurt on Dover with a sharp 40-6 victory.the rankings were on Hackettstown's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result

The contest started off well for Hackettstown, whose offense put up 21 first-half points. Meanwhile, Dover couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. The Hackettstown defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the game. The win bumped Hackettstown's record up to 3-4. Dover are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-8.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Hackettstown take on Chatham at 7:00 PM. Chatham took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Hackettstown's good fortune. Dover will take on Cliffside Park at home at 7:00 PM.
