Greenhill had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They walked away with a 59-52 victory over the BigTyme Prep Academy Bears. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Bears are ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Greenhill was led to victory by DIllon Watt and Kameron Smith. Watt posted 22 points, while Smith dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Thompson, who had nine points.

Greenhill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why BigTyme Prep Academy lost, don't look at Zion Ibekwe. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 16 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dailon Minor, who put up 11 points and six rebounds.

Greenhill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for BigTyme Prep Academy, they moved to 9-6 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Greenhill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-45 win against Dallas Christian on the 28th. As for BigTyme Prep Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-31 victory against Cistercian on the 28th.
