Basketball Recap: Coastal Christian Skates Past Maricopa with Ease

Coastal Christian's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Maricopa Indians 59-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Conquerors have posted since December 17, 2024.

Despite the loss, Maricopa saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Michael Grysko posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Coastal Christian now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Maricopa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Coastal Christian will challenge Valley Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Coastal Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Maricopa, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Legacy Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Maricopa is facing Legacy Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Legacy Christian Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
