Softball Recap: Herscher Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Herscher was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manteno Panthers. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

RyLyn Adams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Herscher's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Manteno, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

While Herscher had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
